Student Ghazal Louaa Al-Jurdy won first prize at the conclusion of the “Aley Art and Heritage” competition by presenting a sentimental song about the city of Aley.
The Municipality of Aley stated in a post on its official Facebook page that Al-Jurdy (15 years old), from the ETSS Secondary School, won first prize at the conclusion of the “Aley Art and Heritage” competition held at the Aley 2000 Symposium in Ras El Jabal on Sunday, May 26, 2024. The ceremony included the distribution of certificates to participating school students from the city of Aley in the categories of painting, poetry, literature, and theater.
The municipality added in its post that “the work presented by student ‘Ghazal’ was distinctive and remarkable, as she presented a sentimental song about the city of Aley, written and composed by her, performing it through a music video with a wonderful rendition that was evident in the audience's engagement.”
