Businessman Sheikh Issam Fayez Makarem passed away on the morning of Thursday, July 18, 2024.
Makarem, a son of the town of Ras el-Metn, was a man of charity and giving, with a helping hand in many milestones. He was a man of institutions and development, leaving a distinct mark on the history of the Unitarian Druze community.
The former Sheikh Aql Naim Hassan awarded him the Druze Community House medal in recognition of his services and contributions over many years in the public social field.
