On the occasion of the noble Prophet’s Birthday, the Sheikhdom of the Mind (Masyakhat al-Aql) of the Unitarian Druze community extended congratulations and blessings to Muslims, calling for “drawing inspiration from the spirit of faith and human mercy of the commemoration's master, the Seal of the Prophets and Master of the Messengers, peace and blessings be upon him, and from his sublime message and sincere call to draw closer to Almighty God by spreading peace, rejecting division, and calling for dialogue and tolerance, and addressing those in authority, holders of wisdom and decision-makers, to work diligently for the unity of position and word and the consolidation of ranks in the face of challenges and storms, to resist the continuous aggression against the Palestinian people and the usurpation of their land and rights, and to cooperate to resolve the widespread issues among brothers across the Islamic and Arab map.”
It added in a statement: “As the Sheikhdom of the Mind congratulates all Muslims on the advent of this fragrant anniversary, it hopes that all Lebanese people, across their diverse Islamic and Christian sects, will draw from the wellspring of the Messenger of mercy and peace and all the prophets and messengers of goodness, hold fast to the firm bond of God, and unite to support the nation and rescue it from what has come to threaten its distinctive diversity, its safety, and its very existence.”
The statement added: “In the anniversary of the Messenger's birth lies a lesson that enlightened minds would do well to draw inspiration from. He is the one of whom the Almighty said: ‘And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds’ (Al-Anbiya, verse 107), and who was sent only to fulfill what is essential for the safety of societies and homelands, just as he said of his noble self: ‘I was sent only to perfect noble character.’ Mercy and morals are the two wings leading to safety and peace. A blessed anniversary, and may you all be well every year.”
